• What you need: You need a tennis racket, a tennis ball, and a tennis court. A court has a net in the middle.
• How to play: The goal is to hit the ball over the net and into the other player's side of the court so that they can't hit it back. You score points when your opponent misses the ball or hits it out of bounds.
• Serving: One player starts by serving the ball. They toss the ball into the air and hit it with their racket over the net.
• Rally: After the serve, players hit the ball back and forth until someone misses. This is called a rally.
• Scoring: Tennis scoring can be a little tricky! Points are called "15," "30," "40," and then "game."
