Some proponents of this view believe that scientific freedom is a fundamental right and that the government lacks the expertise to manage such complex research. However, I believe these arguments are flawed because scientific progress should never take precedence over ethical standards. A lack of control could lead to catastrophic consequences that far outweigh the benefits of rapid research. In conclusion, while scientific innovation is essential, human cloning experiments are far too dangerous and ethically complex to be left unregulated. Government intervention is necessary to balance progress with the protection of human rights and safety.
